Privacy statement

This statement explains which personal data we process for contact requests and consent-based visitor analytics and what rights you have. Updated 27 October 2026.

Controller

Greencontrol Oy, Ruskontie 55, 33710 Tampere, Finland. For privacy matters, please contact aki.taisto@greencontrol.fi.

What data we process

When you contact us by email, by phone or through the website form, we process the information you give us: your name, company, email address, phone number and the content of your message.

The website form does not store any data on the website or on the server. It opens your own email program with a pre-filled message, and we only receive the information when you send the message yourself.

Purpose and legal basis

We use the data to respond to your enquiry, prepare offers and manage customer relationships. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and managing business relationships and, where relevant, on steps taken before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(f) and (b) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation).

Retention

We keep the data for as long as needed to handle your enquiry or for the duration of the customer relationship, and after that for as long as required by law. Enquiries that are no longer needed are deleted.

Recipients

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. Our email and documents are in Microsoft 365, provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. The provider hosting the website (Hostingpalvelu, Planeetta Internet Oy) may record technical information in server logs, such as the IP address, time and page requested, to keep the service running and secure.

Microsoft may also process data outside the EU and EEA. In that case, the transfer is based on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or another basis permitted by the GDPR.

Cookies and visitor analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure and improve the website. It measures visits, viewed pages, traffic sources, browser and device information and approximate location. We also measure clicks on email and phone links. A click does not confirm that contact was completed. The legal basis for analytics is consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

Analytics is not loaded and no information is sent to it before you accept. You can allow or reject analytics and change or withdraw your choice using Cookie settings in the footer of every page. Rejecting analytics does not prevent use of the site. Withdrawal stops future collection in this browser; it does not automatically delete information already collected.

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under greencontrol.analytics-consent.v1 for up to 180 days. This local record is necessary to remember your choice and is not sent to Google. After acceptance, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies _ga and _ga_RM8BEHW9WP to distinguish visitors and sessions. Their maximum lifetime in this implementation is 180 days. Deleting browser storage or using another browser may result in a new consent request.

Analytics information is received by Google (Google Ireland Limited and its service providers). Technical connection information, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google. Information may also be processed outside the EU and EEA under Google's contractual terms and applicable transfer safeguards. See Google's privacy policy. Retention of information stored in the service is also governed by the Analytics property's administration settings.

Our custom contact events do not send form contents, email addresses or phone numbers to Google. Query strings and fragments are removed from the page and referring-page URLs before these are configured for analytics. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in this implementation. The site does not use advertising tracking. Fonts and our own website files are served from our server. External websites have their own policies.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we process about you, to request that it be corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing and to object to processing. Please send your request to aki.taisto@greencontrol.fi.

If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
